Recently I read quite a lot about XX, a band of initially four teenagers “who write bleakly minimal songs that are darkly romantic” (Jude Rogers, Guardian). The band’s debut album XX (out since August 2009) was produced mostly at night in a garage in Notting Hill. The group recently shifted from a quartet to a trio, as keyboardist Baria Qureshi left the band. The three remaining band members — Jamie Smith, Romy Madley Croft and Oliver Sim — are growing from strength to strength.

XX recorded a Black Session (basically a run through of their album XX) for the French radio station France Inter FM on October 26th and is currently on tour in the United States with Friendly Fires.
Good look guys!
