Today we learnt that unfortunately Leon Ferdinand aka N.E, passed away this afternoon. He was a staple performer in the Grime Scene, rising to popularity with South London collective “The Essentials”, and then going on to form “The OG’s”, one of the most exciting groups in UK Music around right now. He will be sorely missed, and we would all like to send our condolences to his family and friends, at this difficult time.
Rest in Peace Leon Ferdinand. 1984 -2009

R.I.P. Leon I went school wid dis dude, was one of my closest Dargs. Can’t believe ur gone, Man didn’t even get 2 link up again like we said we would. But I guess I’ll c u in heaven Dog.1
Cant believe it, this guy would put a smile on anyone’s face every time i saw Leon he was always happy even way back in school days. Mans gonna miss man big time but I’m sure Ur in a good place and I’m sure we will link up again, RIP never forgotten.
I have known leon for over 13years as we went to Blackheath Bluecoats secondary school together. I will always remember him for his cheeky little smile and always trying to act like mr slick especially with the girls. It was so refreshing to see the change in him when he had his beautiful kids, especially his little gi…rl who i always saw with him. I pray for leon and his family that leon has gone to a better place and that they take this opportunity to find comfort in our father above. My heart goes out to leons family and i will continue to pray for u all xx
What a tragic loss. How did this happen?
I remember seeing Leon once it was round about this time last year and we spoke and he seemed like nice person. this is mad; i only met him once and now hes gone. i dont even know how???? R.I.P N.E
