When we heard about Yumna Martin’s planned expedition to Copenhagen with an average temperature of 0 degrees expected, we thought the least we could do was help her stay warm!! So we sent her our brand new highly technical (but most importantly WARM) Boxfresh x Berghaus range, including the classic puffer Beton and all important basic fleece Habitue.
In exchange she took some time out – in between dressing up like a clock in protest (LOL!) and writing for Ctrl.Alt.Shift - to send us a picture diary. We think she’s kinda cute too. Which always helps!!!
PS: If you want to find out more about what was achieved at the conference and the impact it will have on your life, read Yumna’s updates for Ctrl. Alt. Shift HERE and MORE HERE

This little number (or rather big, puffy number) became a good ol’ friend over the past two weeks. Here I’m testing it out as we waited for the coach to Copenhagen.

The Messenger was a sculpture outside the Bella Centre, where the climate change conference took place. It symbolised the amount of climate refugees the world will have if droughts and floods continue.

Flashing Boxfresh.

Avaaz.org aliens walked around the Bella Centre looking for EU delegates to interrogate, they had the alien voices and everything.

Loved this shop sign for a children’s bookshop, Copenhagen still has that original old skool thing going on.

Good morning. I forgot to bring a pillow with so my Boxfresh x Berghaus puffer served a dual purpose. I speak from experience: it makes a comfy pillow.

The necessary accessories. I’m lucky enough to be the owner of a one-off Boxfresh beanie, mmm.

The Yes Men, bumbled around in their protective human-shield type suits on the march (12 December) that marked the world’s largest march for climate change.

Thought this was classic. There is this climate change campaign called tcktcktck (yes, like the clock) and these guys had a bit of fun with it.

The sun sets on us marching revelers.

Can you see the bicycle in the park pond? I swear they were everywhere!

Sneakers hanging off electric lines, hmmmm, not so fresh out the box!

Norreport district, the district that held most of the events.

Kitsch souvenir heaven!

An outside exhibition by WWF, loved this kids style, haha.

One of the many flashmobs we pulled off inside the Bella Centre. WE all occupied a main corridor and slowly put blue ponchos on, started with a clap and then started chanting, “We stand with Africa!”

The elephant that flew. A street in Norreporrt.

Spotting this made my day, Coca Cola trying to make some money by punting itself as ethical and green friendly, and someone decided to put them back in their box!

I love me some Russian Dolls.

The tragedy. I was mortified, while trying to walk home through a crowd of metal heads leaving a concert my puffer was singed by a cigarette.

Yum-o. They love their chocolate milkshake (or rather milk anything!) in Denmark. I thought this large sized milk shake carton had the most adorable packaging.
Ok, maybe a little embarrassing, but hey it found its way into the Guardian so no hiding this one!!!

Wohooo! Childhood fantasy come true, I made my first-ever snow fairy. (Note: I am South Africa.)

Snow and more snow! I seriously flipped out on a snow high, then the next day I realized why everyone else was miserable about it – sleet sucks ass.

In the night we wander through city lights.

Merry Christmas!

Survival. What it’s all about. The Climate Change battle continues, no matter what lame decisions world leaders make.
