The whole dnb and jungle thing is something you are considered legendary for, but your new stuff is just as sick. How does it feel to be reinvented and attracting audiences for the fact you still have it, rather than just had it?
It’s cool to be involved in cutting-edge music; that’s what attracted me to jungle in the first place!
How did working with Ms. Dynamite come about? It seems like the both of you are on the verge of bigness again?
She’s gonna smash it this year, I reckon. I’ve known her years, so when I needed a killer vocal for a tune, I asked her.
How is Bingo Beats going?
I don’t really run Bingo any more, To be honest, I’m not really interested in running a label. I did it for years more because I’m able to do it, and not really into signing my music to other labels so much. i’m not planning to release any other artists on my label for the foreseeable future
And what can we expect from you in the near future?
I’m workin on loads more Crack House music, with all different features. [I'm] havin’ a lot of fun!
I love Star Wars. It took so long to make that tune but it was worth it.
You’re really getting behind the whole Crack House thing – what attracted you to the many sub-genres of house?
When I started to get bored of dnb and started to hear a few house tunes that had a fresh sound, I looked more into house and its sub-genres and discovered that I like tracks from many of them, like techno, tech house, house, electro, funky, et cetera. But when you put it all together, it doesn’t really have a name. To me, there are definite sounds that group them all together, so I call it Crack House! I’m not trying to start a genre or movement, I just dunno what to call the music I play…
