As many of you know we teamed up with Bullet Train and Spam Fritter to throw our first bash on Saturday and what a night it was! Here are a few choice shots from the evening…
Bwalya Newton on the night:
Hotoneten extravaganza certainly put Corsica studios through it’s paces, with a commitment to heavy bass, grimey tracks and many an off beat gyrating yute who were coupled with enviable bass faces, the night certainly solidified the beginning of a great party tradition to celebrate all things HotOneTen.
Upon entering the night it was hard not to notice the impressively long queue, which was a brilliant mish-mash of heels, creps and an aesthetically pleasing display of casual smart chic. After getting my stamp that allowed me to exit and do the oh so important cash point dash to refill my empty glass I was hit by filthy basslines and one shared objective ‘to rave’. With equally impressive sets from Maro Del Horno, Sessions Noises, Ordio Kid and Drama, Roska and the Butterz crew not to mention headliners Bar 9 and Borgore tearing the roof down alongside a host of other great DJs this night was a cocktail of pounding music mixed with shots aplenty setting the backdrop for a rave to be repeated.
With adjoining smoking area with neighbouring Latino salsa fest next door to the party it was inevitable that a few of the Latino Salsa party goers jumped ship, lured by the beats, non hipster attitudes and quality set after set.
My only objection guys was falling down and consequently soiling my hot pants, but that had nothing to do with the 6 shots and trying to dance whilst walking down the stairs… make sure another one comes soon please!
