Afternoon People.

Its been a while since I blogged last so this is my “recap” of a very busy April.

Now my somewhat mad April.

Crazy thing being that i actually never expected to do as many shows, I think in one week I had like 4 sets, all of them very different. No complaints at all, Im loving the opportunity to get my work out there and meet great people. I definitely experienced what some would term a “Monumental moment” in april. I headlined along side what I call the Veterans in the Spoken word game, I remember sitting down and watching these peeps do there thing waaaay before I even touch the mic to performed. It was a great feeling to set the pace that night, there was noooo way I was looking to give some any half performance. Had to turn up the Heat!!!! and I knew my set was on point simply because I felt dehydrated, hot and a slight loss of voice afterward.

Grace Obika Launched her Album on April 22nd, I was the opening act that evening. In all honesty I thought It was a risky move for her to do, a Spoken word artist to open up. All stereotypes sent my way that evening, comments like “so, what are you going to do? Accapella pieces?” “You going to talk about some conscious stuff?” lol i’m surprised no one came to ask if i was going to include finger clicks. My set was mind blowing, Aint even trying to blow my own trumpet but I had some fun up there. The Neutronics fully brought my words alive and I could not thank them enough for taking their time out to Funk up the place that evening. Well done also to Grace for starting her Career in style, Congrats on the Signing as well. Big things indeed.

Now I look forward to June, Not performing in may at all. next round of performances start in June and I cant wait. until then, I’ll be posting various bits and bobs on here for your viewing pleasure.
