A bit of Mac Miller to start off the day…….enjoy!

We’ve had an eye on the lovely Yasmin for a while. Hot on the heels of Devlin’s Runaway which she features on, comes her much anticipated debut single ‘On My Own’ produced by Shy FX. Out 24th January 2011.
There is a lot hype surrounding this young lady and most of it is deserved, but time will tell. Here is her long awaited debut video what are your thoughts?
Let us know what you think …
Some Cape Town kulcha for y’all…

Dopeness!
Ok so.
I was actually speechless when I watched this.
The focus put into this by Shan, Can and Mo was insane. Every part of my words captured. So much so that even three hours after the release, numerous praise and recognition from my peers, I still remained silent.
Taking everything in, sleep and wake, Thankful.
I am thankful for this video.
The hardest part being the amount of truth in this piece and watching how the PinBoard folk fuse their work with my words.
I am thankful.

Don’t know about Mac Miller, then get to know. Hailing from “The Burgh” Pittsburgh Mac Miller has been making some serious strides over the pond, currently signed to Rostrum Records he recently released his latest mixtape K.I.D.S (Kicking Incredibly Dope Shit).
Boasting 18 head-bopping tracks (with Senior Skip Day) being one of them, K.I.D.S is definitely one for the iPod. Go on treat your ears.
Something to shake of the weekend hangover:
LV ( of Hyperdub Records in London) and OKMalumkoolkat (Dirty Parrafin, Johannesburg) collabo, with a distinctly South African house/ kwaito flavour. Interesting how this stuff is starting to go global (after almost 2 decades of existence!)
The NYC- based blog Africa is a Country recently called this “hipster music you can dance to.” So dance hipsters, dance!
