Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Jay Electronica, Bun B, The Game, Wesley Snipes and Juelz Santana have one thing in common; they have all donned a Good Wood piece. Designer, Kerri O’Connell, proudly brings nostalgic and iconic concepts to life, through her Good Wood accessories line.
The different experiences that Kerri has accumulated, serves as an ideal foundation for Good Wood. She started her artistic educational career at High School of Art and Design and went on to Fashion Institute of Technology, where she studied Illustration and Graphic Design. Her professional career saw her as a freelance graphic designer, which landed her at Sanrio’s Hello Kitty licensing department.
O’Connell’s process is simplistic at best, and it has proven to be a winning fomular. Early Good Wood pieces had a more personal touch, as they were hand carved by Kerri, turning out excellently finished products that won the hearts of many. This allowed for an organic growth and has made Good Wood what it is today, a copulation of cultural concepts and customizations.
As for the future of the Good Wood brand, Kerri is exploring designs and techniques for more elaborate 3D pieces as opposed to her regular 2D engraving style. Going beyond jewelry, she’s also working on fabricating wooden glasses frames and home good items such as: cutting boards, ash trays, coasters and signage.

Fresh Cuts Live
at Camden’s legendary Roundhouse
Fresh Cuts Live celebrates a year of Roundhouse Radio’s flagship Urban show with performances from the hottest up-and-coming UK artists we’ve championed over the past twelve months.
Supported by forward-thinking streetwear brand Boxfresh, this exclusive celebration is headlined by the hugely talented Bluey Robinson and features three of the most exciting acts in British Urban music backed by an amazing live band. It will take place in the intimate setting of the Roundhouse’s Studio Theatre, with a capacity of just over 200.
Bluey Robinson
Recently signed to Sony Music, this gifted and in-demand singer-songwriter made his name singing on the world’s underground systems (think London’s Tube, Paris’ Metro and New York’s Subway). Check out his YouTube channel to see those videos and more.
Marvell
Vertex, Shocka and Double S are Marvell, a trio of MCs hailing for the Grime scene and set to do big things in 2010. Their recent free mixtape Marvell FM3 scored 10,000 downloads in under 48 hours and their Chew-Fu produced single Trainers looks sure to be a club smash this year.
McLean
Formerly known as Digga, McLean’s Broken scored nearly 20 million Youtube and Myspace plays in 2007, and three years on, his latest track, My Name is taking radio by storm. McLean is a brilliant British soul voice and a massively talented songwriter.

The concept behind these two brands working together is to combine premium qualities from both – design from Boxfresh and technicality from Berghaus – resulting in the ultimate outerwear.

The Berghaus collaboration consists of three pieces. Beton is a vintage inspired downfilled Berghaus jacket complete with Boxfresh camo print lining. This lightweight piece has a two tone nylon face for a retro feel. Features include a hood, hem drop at the back and insulated with polyfill for extra warmth.

The Baal jacket has all the technical features one expects from Berghaus with reflective Boxfresh teardrop logo on hood for high visibility during adverse weather conditions. Features include a fold away, adjustable hood with stiffened peak and AQ3 fabric which provides the highest level of waterproof breathable weather protection.

The third and final piece is the Habitue Fleece, perfect for bitingly cold days when a waterproof shell is not necessary. Features include a deep snug collar with nylon canvas covered panels for durability. Also has pit zips for ventilation, a drawcord at the hem for added protection against the wind and embroidered logo at the back neck.
