Boxfresh Guerrilla Tactics…

So, the other day I got in back home in the early hours,turned on the TV, and was greeted with Bill Oddie.Too tired to switch it, I ended up watching it for hours. (For those that don’t know, Bill Oddie is a Bird watcher.Like a less good David Attenborough). Anyway,it was shit, but in that moment definitely made me think that people with the power of technology should use their powers for good.

So now, I have decided to use my powers to spread the joy of Boxfresh across the world.Like an undercover superhero. Like, you know how you get Birdspotters, well, I’m just like that except I’m a Boxfresh spotter (and I have much bettter binoculars.obviously.) Basically, I’m like an undercover Boxfresh snapper,spreading the love of Boxfresh when I see it.

So, here is Picture 1 in my series of Boxfresh perversion from yours truly, which I took Guerrilla Style. Spotted on Camden tube escalator, while I secretly stood behind her and took a picture like a crazy person.Don’t watch the crap quality, its hard out here for a Guerrilla photographer.

Laura Keeble is my kinda artist. She makes clever visual metaphors and uses popular iconography and gives them a totally new, different meaning ( Andy Warhol anyone?)

She once said the graveyard installation below was to do with religion, but i read much more meaning into it than just simply that. In my view through placing the Chanel and Mcdonalds logo directly on top of the gravestone ( a recognisable symbol of death) Keeble is commenting on the worth and perhaps the effect of capitalism. Big brands have no individual face or life behind them, so if you buy into them part of your individuality dies, if you buy into a faceless brand, you loose face.

Whatever the meaning, this is pretty sick right?

Kano Wears Boxfresh in the Recording Studio

Kano, Grime MC and face of Boxfresh Streetwear, invited us to join him for the day in his recording studio and we jumped at the chance. What with the collaboration with the Gorillaz and his new album coming out in September, Kano is a busy guy.

Talking of his new album, it’s called ‘Method to the Madness’ and is coming out 30^th August. The album is sure to pack a punch with collaborations from high profile musicians such as Hot Chip Damon Albarn. The first single from the album is called Get Wild, featuring a stomping beat and quick rhymes. The track combines the talents of Wiley, Aidonia, Boyz Noise and Kano himself. Kano wears a selection of urban clothing from the Boxfresh Spring Summer 2010 collection.
