The life of a features editor, gets pretty insane when you’re three days away from the deadline, for the next issue of the best magazine in the UK – SUPERSUPER! As we approach the deadline for the next issue, I’ve been in hiding for what feels like forever – writing and editing, editing and writing.

The BBC 1Xtra DJ has been an ambassador of bassline music for many years, well since its start in the North of England nearly 10 years ago.

“When I heard Cassette Playa was looking for a bassline mix, I jumped at the chance. I wanted to post this last week however I was away on a secret adventure, but that’s another post for another day.

Anyway.

Katy B and Benga – “On a Mission”… *SIGH* This song is SO good it actually makes my entire body cry and do strange and mental things. It’s like my insides go on a hype and travel to next parts of my body, and beat up other parts of my body and then my brain goes all fuzzy and I can’t even think, so I just stay still and let it happen.

BENGA is AMAZING. Katy B is AMAZING. This therefore, is the best song in the whole wide world ever made. Ok I’m exaggerating. The best song in the whole wide world ever made is obviously the “Loukia Song” (I’m not even lying), but anyway you get the point. This is great music. And here’s the video…

Yes y’all. Its been a while since I posted anything.

After Ghana’s untimely defeat to Uruguay (lost by handball knocked out of the goal followed by a missed penalty from Gyan) I decided to lay low for a while.
It hurt me like no other game before. They were on the road to making history, and the whole continent was behind them.
Only getting over the loss now, a week later.

Hi people,

Sorry I haven’t updated the blog recently, been on a mad one. Went Portugal last week, only recently got back and it was ruddy epic, I must say.

When me and my people went out there we got a little history behind Nando’s, literally every resturant we went to ended up slewing Fernando (the man behind the epic food franchise). Basically, the Piri Piri sauce is actually sourced from Angola for cheap and Nando’s pass it on as theirs, whilst the other Portuguese people make their own sauce. I think they’re a bit jealous of Fernando on a sly though. I did go to one place and the food was peng, if only I took a picture of it, some next Gordon Ramsay sittin, you know them ones with the colourful salads on the side corner and ting, yeah, yeah!

But yeah, I needed that break away star, sometimes in life you just need to get away and take your mind of all the Twitter bickering, Grime Forum hype and other general ‘beef talk’. Big up Chantelle Fiddy for giving me advice on leaving the social networking out, it did help quite a lot and although it was hard, it had to be done.

So, yeah, I’m back. Back to the grime, back to the music.
