Hi. I’m Dayalan Kulendran, sometimes known by my highly original superhero alias of DeeKay (no cape). I’m a freelance journalist and DJ, and (cheap-plug time) co-present a show on Roundhouse Radio called Fresh Cuts w/ DJ DeeKay and Chinners, where we do alot. On a weekly basis. Playing the best upfront "urban" music. Really early. With massive interviews and live sessions. It's remarkable.

At the moment, I edit the Roundhouse's Redtop magazine, which (cheap-plug number two) is London's hottest new free magazine, written by young journalists all under the age of 26. Issue Two of Redtop is due early next year and you can pick it up in various hotspots of coolness, including the Roundhouse (where I pretty much live) and BoxFresh in Covent Garden. See how I brought that back around?

I also run a blog (DJ DeeKay Presents) where I write about great music mainly, but occasionally about TV shows and films that I love (like The Wire and Slumdog Millionaire). You might stumble across a few cheap plugs and some shameless name-dropping when you check it out (please?). Sorry, I just can't help myself!
